In my panel 61 there is a large crowd of people standing before a stage. Within the crowd, there are people of many different colors and backgrounds. They are all focused on something that appears to be on the stage which would be “culture.” This can relate to cultural appropriation, but it’s about how how many people may claim African American stemmed music and dance to be a part of who they are, when in reality it stemmed from black culture. Through the Great Migration, African Americans were the ones who created it. Next time you go to a concert, evaluate the people gathering, dancing, and singing, then look towards the stage and think, it’s all just CULTURE.
