The eye of the oppressed. Eyes of those individuals who battle for stance that their lives matter. Not more than yours, just matters. Chains that bound the minds and aspirations of a generation in torment. Told by their superiors that they are “free” and are respected by law, while being pushed down by the hands that offered them salvation. Tears being shed by the mothers of those discriminated. Fear filled souls afraid of the red and white. Afraid of the men in blue, not the human being themselves but the power and protection they can display without retaliation. Clear faces and gleaming smiles hide the anxiety of color, but the eyes can not lie. The eye of the oppressed.
