The picture I drew depicts just a few of the many beautiful and successful black women in history. I display the outlines of Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Angela Davis, Beyonce, and Danai Gurira-- dressed as her role of Okoye from Black Panther. I wanted to show how the migration, a brave and great decision has progressed black people further in society. Though Harriet made a difference before the migration, her heroism is influential to black culture. I wanted to display powerful and influential women. The great migration led to a progression of black women in the workplace, in music, art, literature, etc. This is present from the Harlem Renaissance to modern black culture today. All the women present, and many more are an inspiration to me.
