More than 70 years after Jacob Lawrence finished his iconic “Migration Series”, I am inspired to create artwork that shows how far we have come. With the final panel reading “And the migrants kept coming.” I believe that to be open ended. The possibilities are limitless, and my artwork shows that as a bird stretches their wings, they are just beginning their journey and migration. Likewise, America has only just begun their journey and we have much further to travel.
