In my drawing, there’s a pair of dirty hands cuffed together reaching out as if they are receiving something. There’s money on the other side reaching out. I also have a quote by Wilma Rudolph, stating, “Believe me the reward is not so great without the struggle,” painted across the top. I painted this because I feel like in America some people struggle hard to get their money, and it’s not easy sometimes. But it’s like - you got to do it in order to survive.
