This piece is called “Black Creation” it is a makeup of cartoon versions of African Americans’ creations. It is a vision of my own flavor. The hand represents the build-up of the world and how Blacks are the base of the world and are the main part of the things we see today. The spray can represents “The Creation” and how Black people started in captivity but in the end, made the colors of the world pop out. In the drawing’s surrounding the hand, it goes from popular cartoons like Spongebob to sports and famous celebrities like 2 PAC. The water/ fire under the hand is the deep sorrow African Americans went through in the “bottom” or the South but since have escaped. I have Fanta soda because why not but the main concept of this art is to see how African Americans have shown their true colors and that they built America from the Bottom. At the bottom, I have a mixtape and it says “Black History” and it is saying the history of music and famous rappers like 2 PAC (who are also in the drawing) drawn out today’s rappers like 21 Savage. I have a skull and Poison bottle showing the quick deaths of African Americans today and back then. All in all my project is the culture and creations of African Americans.
